PANELS ARE SOLD OUT
The Gallery at Oregon Society of Artists is proud to announce the 12 X 12 Art Show and Sale. One of our most popular exhibits, the 12 x 12 features affordable artwork, all under $225. The 12x12 Art Show and Sale at OSA will highlight premier works that celebrate art and culture in all of its innumerable forms.
To participate in the 12 x 12 exhibitions, artists purchase blank Americcan Easel wooden 12 x 12" (1 5/8th deep) panels from OSA that act as an entry fee. All artwork must be created on an OSA panel to be included in the show. Panels may be used in any way the artist sees fit, and submissions are open to all subject matter created. Each year we discover the creative possibilities of each artist starting with the same blank slate. After you have completed your new piece on your blank panel, use our image submission guidelines on page 2 to submit an image of your completed work to the OSA office by November 17th and call the office with your piece title, medium, and pricing information. If your panel is unpainted, please varnish the surface and edges of the panel.

A CELEBRATION OF OREGON SCHOOL OF ARTS’ STUDENTS, INSTRUCTORS & VOLUNTEERS
Every work of art is a process - the end result of trial and error, unexpected discoveries, and the collaboration of maker and materials. Artmaking is a lifelong pursuit, an inquiry whose answers only lead to more questions. At OSA students, instructors, and community members show up week after week to engage in the process and practice of making art. This exhibition highlights the creativity and dedication of the students, instructors and volunteers who gather at OSA to develop their skills, learn new techniques, and exchange ideas. The Student, Instructor, and Volunteer show is open to all students, instructors, and volunteers of OSA who have been active in the last year, and work is accepted in all media, subject matter, and styles of art.

This show seeks to give a forum to artists who do not attempt to present an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead uses shapes, colors, forms and gestural marks to achieve the desired effects.
There may or may not be recognizable objects represented in the art work, but accurate depiction is not the avenue by which the artist seeks to achieve their goals.
