Veterans Showcase

Viewable online: November 3 - January 4

The Gallery at OSA is proud to present an exhibition dedicated to the artwork produced by US Military Veterans. For over six years, Oregon Society of Artists has partnered with a variety of foundations to provide free art classes to military veterans. Each November we dedicate The Gallery to showcase the wonderful works being made by veterans at OSA and beyond. The joy of creation are on full display as we honor the diversity, ingenuity, and talent of the US Military Veterans in our communities.

Plein Air & Alla Prima Juried Showcase

Online: October 6 - December 7
Juried by Brooke Borcherding

Plein Air painting and Alla Prima painting capture the essence of a scene, the attitude of a landscape, or the character of a moment. Most often completed in a single sitting, these works feature lively and impressionistic views, bold gestures, and impromptu mark-making. For the Plein Air and Alla Prima Showcase, we will show works that characterize these techniques and capture the fleeting moment. Whether painting in plein air or alla prima, works will expresses the spontaneity and immediacy of documenting the ever-changing world.
