LEANING INTO ABSTRACTION

Online: February 2 – April 5

This show seeks to give a forum to artists who do not attempt to present an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead uses shapes, colors, forms and gestural marks to achieve the desired effects. Artists leaned away from recognizable objects represented in their work, an accurate depiction is not the avenue by which the artist seeks to achieve Their goals.

A CELEBRATION OF OREGON SCHOOL OF ARTS’ STUDENTS, INSTRUCTORS & VOLUNTEERS

Online: January 5 - March 8

Every work of art is a process - the end result of trial and error, unexpected discoveries, and the collaboration of maker and materials. Artmaking is a lifelong pursuit, an inquiry whose answers only lead to more questions.

At OSA students, instructors, and community members show up week after week to engage in the process and practice of making art. This exhibition highlights the creativity and dedication of the students, instructors and volunteers who gather at OSA to develop their skills, learn new techniques, and exchange ideas.
